Crisis Clinician
Ben was born and raised in San Clemente, California. He spent many of his early years enjoying the beach and traveling up and down the Pacific Coastline. Ben obtained his Bachelor of Arts in Political Science — with a focus on International Relations and Human Rights Abuse — from the University of California at San Marcos. This foundational education inspired him to join the United States Peace Corps, serving in Senegal, West Africa (2011-2014) and in Guinea, West Africa (2016-2017). Upon returning from West Africa, Ben worked at a Wilderness Therapy facility located on the Big Island of Hawaii. While in Hawaii, he served high-risk young adults experiencing extensive trauma, mental health disorders and substance abuse challenges.
Ben relocated to the Denver Metro area in 2019 and began his social work journey soon after. In 2022, he obtained his Masters of Social Work — with an emphasis in Mental Health and Trauma — from the University of Denver. He became a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in 2025. Ben has worked with a wide range of clients, from children and adults to elders. Most recently, he supported adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities and co-occurring mental health disorders, trauma and substance abuse.
In his spare time, you can find Ben relaxing with some good music, cooking and spending time with his amazing daughters.
