Aspen Hope Center names new executive director

Erin Mitchell has been named the new executive director for Aspen Hope Center following an extensive search, the Basalt-based nonprofit announced on Thursday.

Mitchell has served as Aspen Hope Center’s clinical director since November 2023.

“Having fully immersed herself in this role over the last six months, Erin has gained a breadth of knowledge spanning the agency’s four main pillars – crisis, school, therapy and education/outreach – and has earned the trust of staff, community partners and first responders,” a news release states.

Mitchell officially assumes her new role on June 3. Aspen Hope Center provides mental health services in the Roaring Fork Valley through crisis prevention, intervention, response and recovery. It works in partnership with law enforcement and health service providers. The center operates a 24-hour “HopeLine” that’s answered locally by experienced and licensed clinicians.

“[Mitchell’s] extensive experience, visionary leadership and commitment to our mission make her the ideal candidate to drive our organization forward into its next chapter of growth and impact,” said Sandy Iglehart, Aspen Hope Center board president, in a prepared statement.
